Coming from Grizzly Peak Customs are these tough, durable, water-resistant saddlebag tethers that have the look and feel of leather. Interesting graphics to customize your bike or have a custom graphic made for you. These are a direct replacement and use the stock hardware. Options to fit 1993 to Current Harley Touring models with hard bags. Please be sure of which style tether you have in your bag (may differ from the year of your bike) before purchasing or ordering.
1. Open your saddlebag and locate your stock black canvas tether. It is held on by four screws and washers: two on the lid and two in the bag.
2. Remove the screws and washers, being sure to note that they are different for the lid and the bag. (Pro Tip: It is helpful to support your id when removing the tether to prevent it from dropping too far and damaging the hinge.)
3. Remove the stock support bars from the canvas tether and insert them into the sleeve on the top and bottom of your new tethers, aligning the holes for the screws.
4. Install the new tethers using the stock screws and washers. Again, support your lid. (We have found it helpful to install the bag side first, then the lid side)
5. Step back and marvel at the beauty of your new tethers!
